Similarly, while Scorpion is a clever nod to the studio's Mortal Kombat roots, gamers have understandably argued that the choice to pass-up fan-favorite DC characters in favor of the MK fighter was a slight to season pass holders (a similar criticism was raised when the studio passed-up fan-favorite MK characters to include Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat 9). Characters like Zod and Batgirl are fun comic book favorites, but their similarities to Superman and Batman (along with Nightwing), respectively, have left plenty of faithful Injustice players craving a bit more variety.
